After applying, the pets may experience some itching, but this is normal as it indicates the removal of dead fleas. I have been using a monthly topical flea and tick treatment with a unique blend of active ingredients – Permethrin, Imidacloprid, and Pyriproxyfen. Unlike the name brand that coagulates when drying, this Amazon Basics product remains in liquid form.
