I find it amusing when reviewers complain about ropes not lasting long. Ropes are best used for interactive tug of war with your dog, not as chew toys. This particular rope is sturdy for playtime, but not suitable as a distraction toy. Remember to keep it stored when not in use to prevent damage.

Update: After two years, our energetic basenji Maggie managed to loosen one of the knots and began unraveling the end. So, I’m here to purchase another one. This toy remains her absolute favorite when she pays us a visit. We are truly impressed by its durability! We simply trimmed off the unraveled section of the rope and are curious to see how much longer the two-knot rope will last.

My Shepard/Lab mix dog, who is a power chewer, was able to destroy this product in just 30 minutes. Although it has a nice appearance and a minty smell, the shredded pieces were scattered everywhere very quickly. Considering my dog’s strong chewing habits, I may not be the most reliable judge. While my dog doesn’t seem to swallow the pieces, I would advise caution if yours tends to do so.
