After having this dog door installed in our new house for around 2 months, the plastic weight and magnet at the bottom of the flap part broke off. Despite having two heeler dogs and opting for the large size, I am surprised by how easily this part broke off within a short period. While the door still works, some sharp points are now exposed, and the flap no longer stays closed properly.

Pros: This door is well-built and of high quality, making it very durable. It is relatively easy to install with the appropriate tools for cutting a hole in the main door.
Cons: The flap is magnetic, which helps bring it back in place, but it is quite strong and cats may struggle to push it open. However, they eventually manage to do it. Despite this, the door is expected to last a long time. Overall, I would recommend this product.

After just a few months, the bolts and door started coming loose, not from the wall but from the product itself.

After less than a full season of use, a plastic trim piece broke off along the top edge. Other than that, the flap is in good condition. The previous dog flap lasted 5 years while the current one has only lasted a few months. The seller has not responded after being contacted.

After researching various dog doors and watching several videos, we decided to purchase this unit for our Australian Shepherd, Aussiehole. She weighs about 50 lbs and is very active, constantly going in and out throughout the day. Dealing with opening the door was becoming a hassle, especially since I work from home and she was making me get up frequently. The instructions were not very helpful, suggesting the use of a chainsaw to cut the hole in our metal door, which seemed excessive. It’s…

I installed this product in an aluminum storm door and it worked perfectly. My dog absolutely loves it. After seeing how satisfied my son-in-law was with his purchase for his 60-pound dog, I decided to get one as well. We both installed the dog doors in storm doors that were not originally designed for pet doors, but the adaptation process was relatively simple and highly successful. Thank you for such a great product!

Appropriate size for a big dog

I found the template to be larger than expected. Be sure to triple check the measurements! I ended up using a significant amount of caulk as there were gaps visible around the edges of the dog doorframe.
