The tape leash outperforms the cord leash with its comfortable handle texture and user-friendly design that becomes easy to use with a bit of practice.

A great help for walking pets, I purchased the accessory to carry the poop bag roll on the same device.

    3. Chris MacLeod

      Great leash.

I have been using this FLEXI® 16ft leash for a few weeks now and I am pleased with it. I had a previous Flexi leash that was made in West Germany and lasted through two dogs over 20 years before the main spring broke. The new leash has a tape instead of a cord, but I anticipate it will also be durable. I especially like the gray and black color combination.

I am really enjoying the new design! It’s more ergonomic, lighter, and great to have a 26′ tape option for the medium size. I appreciate the open tape rolling area allowing for better ventilation. The only downside is the lack of a clip for my flexi hardshell bag holder, but I can use a soft zip-up holder instead. The bright neon tape may show dirt more easily, but I will make sure to keep it clean. Overall, I am pleased with the product and will provide updates on durability as needed.

I have a 75lb lab/bloodhound who is 2 years old, full of energy and curiosity. He tends to pull when excited, and although we are working on loose leash walking, he hasn’t quite mastered it yet. This leash has been a game changer for us. On our first walk using it, he had the freedom to explore ahead while I still maintained control. It was a fantastic experience. I can’t speak to its durability over time since I’ve only used it once, but so far, it’s been amazing. My dog seemed to enjoy the…

As a dog walker, I have experimented with various retractable leashes, but Flexi always comes out on top. Unlike other brands that tend to wear out quickly, get stuck, and lack durability, Flexi consistently proves to be reliable and long-lasting.

    8. JAIME BEMISTER

I really adore this leash. It’s fantastic value for the money! It extends quite far and can effortlessly handle my 140 lbs difficult dog. It has shown no signs of wear and tear yet. The grip is comfortable, and the bag holder accessory fits perfectly.

I bought this for my medium-sized Australian Cattle Dog and it’s been working really well. The quality is good and it’s well-made. The 16-foot long ribbon is a reasonable length, fitting my hand perfectly and comfortable to use. The only minor downside is that I wish the swivel attachment was a bit larger, but it’s not a big issue. I also got the accessory multi box to hold poo bags, which is very convenient. It’s reasonably priced and my dog seems to enjoy it too, giving him a bit more…

    10. Amazon Customer

I really enjoy using this leash. It’s convenient to stop at any length and then release. It’s great for managing my puppy in busy areas and keeping him under control. I also appreciate the long length option and how comfortable it feels in my hands.

I recently replaced my previous leash after using it for 4 years with my active medium-sized dog. The leash is lightweight, responsive, and conveniently fits in my coat pocket. However, after 4 years of heavy use, the leash started to show signs of wear and tear all at once – the spring became soft, the tape got rough, and the case was damaged. Unfortunately, it’s not something that can be easily fixed. As an engineer, I believe they could design a more durable leash, but it would likely be…

Trooper and I have been using his new leash for about a month now, almost daily. We usually go for a four-mile walk in just about an hour. Since switching to this new leash, we can’t help but wonder why we didn’t get it sooner! Having used a six-foot leash for years, the Flexi Giant feels like a breath of fresh air. It allows Trooper to act more like a dog and less like a robot, giving him the freedom to explore, doddle, or even run without constantly being pulled by a short tether.
