Every night, my dog eagerly anticipates her chew treat. She will sit and gaze at the closet door until I give it to her. The only downside is that some of the chews are small in size, which means they don’t last long when my dog starts munching on them.

We used to feed our dog pig ears, but after learning they may not be the healthiest option, we switched to buffalo ears. Initially, our dog was unsure about trying them, but she now enjoys them very much!

I was satisfied with the initial bag of Water Buffalo ears I received. The bag on the left in the picture contained 5 remaining ears, all of which were over 5.5” long. These ears were substantial and dense enough to keep my dog entertained for a while. However, my experience with the second bag, shown on the right, was disappointing. My dog adores water buffalo ears because they are a safer alternative to rawhide, without the risk of impaction, and do not have the unpleasant odor that some pig ears have.

Initially, I was pleasantly surprised by the value of this product. Although the smell may not be appealing to humans, dogs seem to love it. The bag contained a variety of ear shapes and sizes, with most being a decent 4-5 inches long. My Blue Heeler particularly enjoyed these cow ears without experiencing any digestive issues, unlike with some other brands. This is our second purchase of these ears. The first bag was excellent, with all the ears being consistently large in size. However, in this second bag, most of the ears are smaller as shown in the picture, with only about 4 larger ones. While we love these treats for our medium/large mixed breed dog, the smaller ears could pose a choking hazard. Despite this concern, these ears make for a great treat that is less messy and more cost-effective than pig ears.
