Initially, it took some time to adjust to this product. I found that mixing equal parts of food with hot tap water made it easier for the food to soak in. As per the recommended daily portion for my 10lb dog Bailey, I feed her 1/6 cup in the morning and 1/6 cup at dinner. Even though the bag suggests a different water-to-food ratio, I prefer equal amounts of water and food.
