For best mixing, sprinkle the powder onto the water and mix with a wire whisk. Always mix milk replacer solution as needed for immediate feeding. *The enclosed cup (level full) holds about 4 oz. of milk replacer powder by weight. Periodically weigh a filled cup to assure accuracy. FEEDING: The table below gives typical amounts to feed, based on kid age. Individual kids vary in requirements and appetite. Adjust the feeding rate accordingly, being careful not to overfeed milk replacer. NOTE: For pygmy/dwarf breeds, use half the amounts for milk replacer solution shown above as a guideline. **Evenly space the recommended number of feedings within a 24 hour period. General Recommendations: Feed 2 to 4 ounces of colostrum four times the first day. Ensure that one colostrum feeding occurs within two hours of birth. If maternal colostrum is not available, use Manna Pro Kid Colostrum or Manna Pro Colostrum Supplement. Begin feeding goat starter feed in the second week. Sprinkle a little Kid Milk Replacer powder on the goat starter feed to get kids nibbling. Maintain a regular feeding schedule. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Kids can typically be weaned when they are consistently eating ½ to ¾ pound (¼ to ½ pound for pygmy/dwarf breeds) of kid starter per day. Based on how quickly the bag was consumed, it seems to have been highly satisfying. My twin kids consumed it eagerly and thrived. This product was a great find as it was significantly cheaper than an identical bag from Tractor Supply Co. My baby goats thoroughly enjoyed this milk. It dissolves easily in warm water. While I do wish the ingredients were a bit cleaner, it did provide the necessary nutrients that the babies were missing from their mother.

I always keep a supply of Milk Replacer and Pritchard Nipples on hand, which have been a lifesaver for many kids. Using disposable 12 oz soft drink bottles as feeding containers has proven to be a great solution!
