We have also observed a difference in the appearance and consistency of these treats. Personally, I prefer the new version. With the previous iteration, rough shipping by Amazon often led to a lot of “dust” at the bottom of the bag and many treats being damaged. I initially purchased these treats for training purposes, but was surprised by their large size! However, my dog doesn’t seem to mind as he enjoys hiding them. He gets visibly excited whenever he sees the bag, so I recommend using these as daily treats alongside meals.

I was very disappointed upon opening our new package of biscuits and finding that they had a completely different appearance, smell, and texture. They have a strong, unpleasant, artificial meat-like scent and are extremely hard. It seems like the changes were made to improve shipping, but maybe improving the packaging would have been a better solution rather than altering a previously excellent recipe that received 5-star ratings from dogs who require limited ingredient treats.

If there is nothing else available, they reluctantly eat it. The texture is on the harder side, so I think it would be good for pets who tend to gulp down their food quickly.
