Our 15-year-old Jarkie, Johnny B Good, absolutely adores these small kibbles. Our vet recommended the I/d diet for him, and I’m thrilled that he’s finally enjoying his food while keeping his weight in check. He turned his nose up at other options, even the canned I/d. These kibbles from Hills Prescription Diet are the tiniest I’ve come across, which is perfect for our petite 7 lb dog. I switched to this product last year and it has made a significant difference in my dog. His stomach is much more settled now. I’m not a fan of the kickback from Vet Rx, but my dog seems to agree with this brand more than his previous one.

My small dog does not finish the bag quickly, so I freeze it into smaller portions to keep it fresh. Once opened, the dog food lasts 2-3 weeks. The pieces are small and easy to bite into. However, my dog dislikes the flavor and is not usually picky about food. I often mix it with boiled chicken or veggies to entice her to eat. I also use dog food toppers for sensitive stomachs when she refuses to eat. The food has greatly improved her health, resolving issues like diarrhea and constipation….
