I am quite disappointed with this KONG toy as it only lasted under 10 minutes after I gave it to my two 9-month-old Labs. They managed to chew the rope in half, leaving only the ball part of the toy available for play. I will be seeking a different brand for my future purchases.

Kong Extreme is perfect for strong dogs, great for biting and pulling. It features a nice combination of a ball with a band for throwing, allowing the ball to move freely. While it may be a bit pricey, it can withstand even a large breed like a Molosser.

I own a 65lb pittie mix who loves to chew, despite missing some teeth from a car accident. The black Kong extreme is the only toy that can withstand his chewing power. While the ball shape holds up well, the rope attachment did not last long, getting shredded in just 10 minutes. In the future, I’ll opt for just the ball without the rope for better longevity.

Although both of my dogs enjoyed this toy, I had to remove it from them due to the strings coming off too easily. There is a risk of the dogs ingesting the strings, which could lead to surgery or even death if the strings become entangled in their intestines. It is important to be cautious with this toy and always supervise your dog while playing. Despite this issue, the toy is usually great. It would be beneficial if the strings could be made more durable to prevent easy tearing by the dogs.
