After taking my German Shepherd to the vet for a teeth cleaning, we discovered he had chipped a tooth on a hard plastic bone – not his usual Kong toy. We have three dogs: a Lab mix weighing 80lbs, a Cane Corso Lab mix weighing 110lbs, and a little 26lb mixed hound known as the house wrecker. All three of them have a knack for destroying even the toughest toys within hours. However, these bones have proven to be incredibly durable! They withstand the strong jaws of the big guy and the sharp teeth of the little one. We enjoy filling the bones with treats for them to enjoy. Overall, we find these bones to be a great value for the price!

This chew toy proved to be very durable and long-lasting for my 80-pound super chewer. Despite being able to chew through almost anything, this bone held up well. However, when my 40-pound ultra-mega-super chewer got a hold of it, he was able to quickly chew off bits of the bone where you can put peanut butter. I bought a Kong Extreme Dog Toy from Tractor Supply and it lasted a few weeks without any damage until my dog misplaced it. I then searched for more Kong Extreme toys for tough chewers on Amazon. My 60 lb. American Staffordshire Pitbull is a vigorous chewer, typically destroying most toys within a day or two. I’ve learned to avoid fuzzy toys as he tears them apart and toys with squeakers as he relentlessly chews until he removes the squeaker.
