I was in search of a lightweight and slim jacket for my puppy to wear during winter. She’s a hound mix, around 70lbs with a deep 29″ chest. Following the size guide, I opted for a XXL due to her being between sizes. Initially, I was concerned that it was too big, so I also ordered an XL for comparison. Upon receiving the XL, it was clearly too small, so I returned it. For those deciding between XL and XXL, I suggest going with XXL for medium to large breed dogs with a long body.

I love this reversible coat for my dog in size L. It fits perfectly, although I wish it had elastic straps for the hind legs as it tends to ride up a bit when he walks, which is quite funny. Overall, it functions well and serves its purpose, plus it looks very elegant. I especially adore the Scottish prints!

Cons: The jacket is not actually waterproof as claimed. When my dogs wear it in the snow, the jackets rub against the ground, absorbing moisture and becoming soggy and heavy within 15 minutes, making my dogs wet and cold.

I used the Small size for my dog, who weighs 11.5 lbs and has a chest girth of 15″, neck girth of 12″, and a base of neck to base of tail measurement of 14″. The fit was perfect! Despite my initial concern about it covering his back adequately due to his longer body and slightly shorter legs, the length was great. The Small jacket measures 12″ from the neck to the bottom and around 14.5″ including the collar.
