The door is problematic as it falls out easily when the dog hits it in the center, even after multiple attempts at reinstalling. I believe this dog door is well-made and lightweight, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in protected areas. The frame is constructed from plastic, but in my experience living in Southern Arizona, exposure to the sun can cause thinner hard plastic to deteriorate quickly. I am concerned about its durability in direct sunlight, but it may be suitable for use under a patio door with an awning. I strongly recommend this product if you have long dogs. I have a poodle and he easily slides through the door with this product.

The dog door securely clicks into place and opens effortlessly.

The plastic entryway is not seamless for the dog to push through. It is made of hard plastic instead of the softer material we prefer. Some air can pass through, akin to leaving a door slightly cracked at home, allowing AC or heat to escape.
