Overall, I am quite pleased with this gate. It has a nice appearance and is sturdy. The opening and closing mechanism is not too difficult, although the side button could be positioned better. I do wish it could fully close on its own instead of requiring manual intervention. The included feet have rough sandpaper bottoms which may work on carpet but are not ideal for hard floors. I am impressed with the durability of this gated pet barrier made of high-quality heavy metal. My Dachshund couldn’t easily move it, and even when he peed on it, there was no damage. However, I found it necessary to anchor the gate to the wall to prevent my dog from pushing it open with his nose. I have a medium-sized husky mix who has a habit of sneaking food meant for the kids. We were in need of a solution to prevent him from entering the dining room during mealtimes.
