I am a fan of Old Mother Hubbard products in general, but these biscuits are extremely hard, making it difficult for my small pups to bite into them. As a result, I am unable to comment on the flavor or their effectiveness in aiding with hip and joint issues. On a positive note, they are easy to locate when scattered on the floor.

I deducted one star as a cautionary note. I believe I received the older style of this treat, which is a thick nugget. While my Great Dane puppy doesn’t have difficulty with the shape, even she finds it a bit awkward compared to a mini bone. She needs to play with it a bit first. However, she enjoys all the treats from this brand, which consistently offer great value and quality. My dog is able to consume these treats without any issues. I previously tested a different brand’s product, which unfortunately caused her to vomit.

While he’s not overly enthusiastic about the taste, he eats them without any issues, which is impressive given his picky nature. My senior dogs absolutely adore these treats. While I can’t confirm if they provide any tangible benefits, I can attest that all my dogs are over 12 years old and have not had difficulties with mobility.

This product doesn’t contain enough glucosamine to fully support my large, healthy 130-pound Rottweiler. However, I still give him a separate supplement for that purpose. Despite this, he enjoys these treats and the additional glucosamine can’t hurt. I’ve been a fan of Old Mother Hubbard treats for years, and this one is another great addition to the collection.
