This product always gets my dog excited with its squeaker, but he eventually manages to break through to the other side. I’ve found that the key is to take it away once he starts going crazy and running around squeaking. If I leave it with him, I’m sure he would destroy it. So far, this toy has been holding up really well. The thick material makes the squeaker sound less annoying, which is definitely a bonus. Overall, the KONG Firehose squeak toy and this squeaker are my favorites.

I was disappointed with this product. My dog showed no interest in it. Normally, she gets very excited about new toys, but the Avocado toy didn’t capture her attention. It might be because it was too flat for her to pick up, so she ended up ignoring it. I’m returning it and getting a different toy from the same company. We own four Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain dog mixes that are extremely rough on toys. Typically, toys get destroyed within hours of buying them. However, the avocado toy has been a pleasant surprise! Although they were able to rip off the brown “seed” skin right away, the toy has stayed intact after three weeks. I was so impressed that I ended up purchasing another one, as well as the watermelon version.
