I purchased this product due to its large size to accommodate my two cats. Similar to previous feeders I have owned, this one does not consistently dispense food. The food’s texture causes it to get caught on other pieces, hindering proper dispensing. However, my cat has cleverly learned to reach up and dislodge the stuck food to make it come down. I suspect this problem may be common with most cat or dog food dispensers.

I have two small dogs who use this feeder. Although you have to shake it occasionally to get the food to fall down, it seems to get stuck despite using the smallest kibble available. It lasts me 2 to 3 days before needing a refill, so I don’t mind shaking it every now and then. I even cut up a paper plate to create a funnel for easier loading without spilling.
