The product user followed the instructions and was pleased with the outcome. They had to extend and reroute some wiring behind the studs, using “great stuff” foam for support within the wall pass through. By planning and managing to catch a stud on one side of the door, the structure is now very sturdy. While 50% of the dogs adapted quickly to it, the other two will need more time to adjust.

I purchased a large door for my two labradors. Unfortunately, the plastic holding the flap broke within weeks of installation due to regular use. This product is not durable at all, especially compared to my previous door from a different brand that lasted 6 years. I am in the process of returning it for a refund and plan to purchase a similar door from another brand, this time with a steel frame for better quality.

The door was initially installed and functioned well for about a year. However, over time and exposure to various weather conditions, the flaps became warped, the exterior magnet base detached, and the interior door slide broke. Most recently, during this winter, the outer flap developed a crack near the upper hinge and eventually broke off.
