    Directions

Mix one tablespoon powder with two tablespoons warm water to make approximately 2-1/3 tablespoons (7 teaspoons/35 mL) of liquid. This amount will feed a 4 oz. puppy for approximately 1 day. Directions for Feeding: If possible all puppies should receive colostrum by nursing on their mother for the first several days. Weighing puppies at the beginning and every 3 days will help to determine the amount that should be fed. Bottle fed puppies should be fed 1 teaspoon (5 mL) per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight every 3-4 hours. Feeding amounts and frequency vary according to individual needs. Smaller and weaker puppies may need increased feeding frequency. As puppies become older the feeding frequency may be decreased and the amount per feeding increased. At 4 to 6 weeks you may begin offering reconstituted PetLac in a shallow bowl for the puppies to lap. Do not discontinue bottle feeding until the puppies are eating well on their own. Weaned puppies: Feed 1 teaspoon (2 g) of PetLac Puppy powder per 5 lbs. (2.2kg) of body weight daily mixed in regular food. Pregnant and lactating females: Feed 2 teaspoons (4 g) PetLac powder per 5 lbs. (2.2kg) body weight daily. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice.

I utilized this product to enhance the nutrition of my litter of 14 puppies. I administered it in bottle form during nursing sessions and also mixed it into their puppy food to create a delicious mixture. The puppies thoroughly enjoyed it and eagerly consumed every bite!

    2. MARIANN L. WAUCHEK

I utilized this supplement to assist in transitioning my six puppies to solid food. I blended puppy food with the supplement to create a puppy mash, which the puppies eagerly devoured. They absolutely enjoyed it!

    3. Amazon Customer

The product fulfilled my requirements, but it would be better if it dissolved more effectively.

Yes, my newborn puppies really enjoy these as I start weaning them. However, I was disappointed to find that the can was only half full.

    9. Davew

This product is user-friendly, and while I can’t comment on the flavor personally (since I’m not a dog), it was a lifesaver when our lab had 9 puppies. It came in handy when the puppies were drinking a lot, as I could mix it up and put it in a bowl for them. The pups would eagerly gather around to drink from it. It’s definitely a great product that not only gives the mother dog a break but also helps the puppies learn to drink independently.

    10. cristy kieley

This product brought back memories of using baby formula in the 1970s. The powdered form was difficult to mix as it tended to form lumps, which could clog the bottle nipples. While the quality appeared to be decent, I eventually switched to the liquid version. I had an unopened container left, which I found to be expensive, so I decided to repurpose it as milk for the feral cats outside.

    11. MARIANN L. WAUCHEK

My female dog had one puppy and unfortunately, the next one got stuck resulting in the loss of that puppy and the rest of the litter. I relied on this product to bottle-feed my surviving pup. She is now two months old and weighs 3 pounds. Thankfully, she had no issues with this formula.

    12. Kimberly Ram

My puppy adores this product and I am pleased that it hasn’t caused any stomach problems. It’s definitely a great purchase.
