I have mixed feelings about this coat. The material is nice, but the zippers are cheaply made. While walking my dog, the zippers on top ripped because of poor stitching. I returned the first one because it was too small and got a larger size. If they improve the zippers and stitching, this jacket would be worth it. It has nice material and is warm, but needs better quality in the zippers.

In February, we acquired a bottle lamb who couldn’t stay inside the house. Despite having a heat lamp, we wanted to ensure he remained warm. I was looking for a warm winter coat for my older Shiba Inu who now has very thin fur due to an illness. This is his first coat in 13 years, and we both think it’s simply wonderful and very warm. The coat is easy to put on, keeps him cozy, and looks great too. It was a bit loose around the belly, but I quickly adjusted it with needle and thread. Even after washing, it still looks great. I would definitely purchase it again.

Upon receiving the coat, I needed to make some adjustments to the neck to ensure a comfortable fit for my large dog. It was challenging to find a coat that fit him properly, but this one came closest to his size. I had to cut the neck area to prevent it from choking my dog, and then mend the cut to avoid any potential ripping. So far, the coat has held up well. It is of excellent quality, with a warm inner lining and highly reflective strips.

I find this jacket to be quite good for its price. It is lightweight yet seems to provide adequate insulation for most winter days in Chicago. When the temperature drops below 15 degrees (F) and I’ll be outdoors for an extended period, I may layer a sweater underneath, but otherwise, it should suffice. Our small dog gets cold very easily, so we decided to purchase this coat for him. He is quite sensitive and doesn’t like many fabrics.
He absolutely loves this coat! The fabric is super soft with no rough edges. It covers his backside and has a small collar, providing great warmth.
While there may be signs of wear at this price point, we haven’t noticed any issues in the first few months of use.
Two things to note: it runs a bit large and is not completely waterproof in heavy rain.
