My dog is in between sizes, making it challenging to find the right fit. We decided to go with the small size, as recommended for in-between sizes, and I’m glad we did because the XS would have been too small. Although the small size is slightly loose on him, it will work well for backyard play and short walks. However, I do have concerns that if he really tried, he might be able to escape from it.

The color is fantastic and it’s quite simple to put on. The thickness is just right, but be sure to measure accurately as it can be a bit tight on a larger (8 lbs.) Chihuahua due to limited stretch. On the bright side, it’s very easy to remove.

I purchased this sweater for my spaniel who weighs 35 pounds and has an 18-inch back. The length of the sweater is perfect, but it fits very snugly around her midsection, making it difficult to zip up. It requires three hands to put on – two to hold up the sides of the sweater and one to pull the zipper. Additionally, the zipper tends to get caught in her long hair. While the sweater is warm and does fit her, it is more challenging to dress her in compared to her other coats.
