The sleeves reached halfway down his front legs, and the shirt tail covered his back perfectly. Although the length underneath was a bit longer than desired, the ribbed band kept the shirt in place to prevent accidents. I adore this sweater for my dog! He weighs around 12 pounds and has a long body. Initially, I purchased a large size which was slightly loose and had a big neck opening. I later bought him a medium size in red, which fits him perfectly. The chest area is still a bit snug, but I understand that all dogs have unique shapes and sizes!
